Day 1: The Roots of Jazz and Mainstage Dinner Theater

Board a deluxe motor coach for Kansas City and begin with an immersive visit to the American Jazz Museum in the historic 18th & Vine District. Students explore jazz history through interactive exhibits and iconic venues like The Blue Room and Gem Theater. After hotel check-in, enjoy a buffet dinner and live theatrical production at the New Theatre & Restaurant to gain direct insight into professional staging and performance standards. The evening concludes back at the hotel with dedicated night security.

Day 2: Civic History, Monumental Performances, and Backstage Theater

Following breakfast, visit the Harry S. Truman Presidential Library & Museum for historical analysis and an exclusive student performance opportunity. Enjoy a family-style Italian lunch at Buca di Beppo on the Plaza, then proceed to the National WWI Museum & Memorial for a featured choral performance. In the afternoon, tour Music Theater Heritage (MTH) inside Crown Center to explore technical theater careers, followed by dinner, a live musical, and possibly even a Q&A talkback session (if available) with the professional cast and crew.

Day 3: Environmental Science, Conservation, and Return

Check out of the hotel and explore ecology and biodiversity across 202 acres at the Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium. Using Platinum Ride Wristbands, students travel through global ecosystems via the African Sky Safari, Kenyan Cruise, and Zoo Railroad. Following a private catered lunch, board the motor coach for the return trip home.
